Welcome to my centralized photo and video page for La Plata Rail Days 2024!
This was my fourth consecutive year attending the "unofficial" event and, despite being "unofficial," a great time was had by all.
The weather was relatively mild but without too much rain and BNSF Railway sent us plenty of trains to watch.
One highlight of the visit was congratulating one of our longtime live-feed viewers, Theda Smithson, on her 100th birthday. She is as sharp and as spry as a 70-year old.
We also had a visit from our friend Simon, all the way from Australia, and his first time ever in the States.
